How To Disable Right Click In Blogger In All Posts?

by AdminAugust 27, 2016

In this post, I will explain how you can disable right click on your Blogger blog or any other webpage using a simple HTML code.Isn´t it annoying if someone copies (and thereby steals) your blog posts, articles, images and any other kind of information created and owned by you and using it on their own site, claiming that they are the creators and owners of said content?

Disclaimer : We do not own and do not claim to own all the images appearing on our website/ Facebook page. The images belong to their respective owners, who have copyright over them. The images are taken from various different sources. If you feel that any image violates your copyright, please write to [email protected] to have it taken down.

But ‘disabling right click’ might not be the right solution for this problem.Most people come to your site to read information and only very few visit your site with the intent to steal your ideas, articles, images, etc. So, the great majority of people may very well think that “disabling right click” is insulting and won´t return to your site. I, myself, think it is not a very professional thing to do.

The best way to protect your images without offending anyone is to add a Watermark (logo) of your Sitename, your name or initials to the graphics, pictures, etc.

Important Note: Using this javascript code, you will disable the right click and visitors will be warned that the content is copyrighted.

If you still want to add this feature to your site you can get the code below :

<script language=”JavaScript”>
//Disable right mouse click Script
//By Maximus ([email protected]) w/ mods by DynamicDrive
//For full source code, visit

var message=”Function Disabled!”;
function clickIE4(){
if (event.button==2){
return false;
function clickNS4(e){
if (document.layers||document.getElementById&&!document.all){
if (e.which==2||e.which==3){
return false;
if (document.layers){
else if (document.all&&!document.getElementById){
document.oncontextmenu=new Function(“alert(message);return false”)
// –>

then save the HTML/javascript. and view your blog.
when you try to do right click. a message will tell you that “Function disabled”
and if you want to change this words” Function Disabled”
find the next line in the code

var message=”Function Disabled!”;

and change Function Disabled! to whatever you want.
I hope it helps.

Now, where to paste it in blogger ?

Sign in to your blogger dashboard > layout > Add a Page element > HTML/JavaScript (look at the screenshots below)

blogclip2And paste the Javascript code you got above, then Save the changes.

Please wait...
